I find it is very difficult to train a pet not to soil in the house if the pet oder is not cleaned up properly. Not cleaning it up is like giving ti permission to re-use that area.
I advise crate training to people and ask them to stay with in until they feels the pet has learned not to soil within the home. To often I find that by not sharing how to change the pets behavior the pet has no home. As for the cleaning I do inform the customer that the smells will encourage the pet to use the stot agian.
Yes pets do go back to spots that have been used by themselfs or others and the odor should not be allowed to stay in the home. Just try to give more advice to help the per keep a home!
