Upholstery Q & A

  1. But the tag on my upholstery says “Dry Clean Only.”
Many manufactures use this type of label on their upholstered products to keep them from being liable for problems that may occur during the cleaning process. Many professional cleaners know that with knowledge, experience, proper products, and advanced equipment they can clean the majority of fabrics that are labeled “dry clean only.” BRFC technicians will evaluate your upholstery and notify you if your furnishings should be dry-cleaned only.
  2. How long will it take my upholstery to dry?
BRFC uses superior truck-mounted equipment with superior extraction power. The majority of upholstery typically dries in 1-3 hours, but this depends on the type of fabric and its level of soiling.
  3. Is there a protectant specifically formulated for upholstery to protect my furnishings from spills and wear?
Yes! Because upholstery gets as much wear and tear as carpeting, adding a protectant is a wise investment. Upholstery is very different from carpeting in its materials and construction, so BRFC offers the very best in upholstery protectant.
  4. Do you do leather cleaning?
Leather cleaning and restoration is an intensive process that is performed by hand. BRFC technicians will use a multi-step system that will clean, restore, and protect the leather from future wear, tears, and spills.
  5. Should I get my mattress cleaned?
Mattresses are used on a daily basis and despite the amount of use they receive, many if not most people overlook the mattress as part of their cleaning regimen. The average mattress contains over 2 million dust mites, which are a common allergen of asthmatics, not to mention the millions of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and molds that can also be found where you sleep. Dirty mattresses can also aggravate bronchitis, sinusitis, rhinitis, dramatis, and other skin disorders and allergic reactions. Having your mattress cleaned can improve your health, stop morning sneezing and decrease allergy flare-ups.
  6. Can You Clean Auto and Marine Upholstery?
At BRFC we do lots of Auto and Marine Upholstery for many of the dealers within the Savannah area and can do yours on site. Many of the spills in an auto and/or marine can be completely removed with our methods. Again, please use caution if cleaning the stain yourself and try our spot and stain guide here.
